We are officially kicking off Awards Season with the 40th anniversary of the People's Choice Awards which celebrates tv, music and movies. The show was hosted by Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs, they aren't Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, but the duo did start off the show by passing out burgers and fries to everyone... #RadiantOrchid- our new favorite color

A few weeks ago Pantone released their 2014 color of the year- Radiant Orchid. The site describes the flirty color as, "A captivating harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid emanates great joy, love and health." Umm... LOVE this.

This color seems to be made for accessories and looks incredible in the form of a structured bag. Pair it with a embellished sweatshirt and sleek flats for a comfy-chic look.

Let's do this y'all

Happy New Year y'all!

I don't know about you but I had an unbelievable 2013 but 2014 is shaping up to be bigger and better than I ever imagined. So I want to give you a little challenge- let this be the year that you go for it. It doesn't matter what "it" is, just let go of whatever worry is holding you back from accomplishing whatever you want to accomplish. I promise you, all you have to do is take the first step.

At the beginning of every year, I pull some quotes or images that I paste into my planner so I see them everyday. Here are the one's I've chosen for this year:

The South is hot right now y'all. Thanks to Garden & Gun, Blake Shelton and all you sassy, Southern spitfires, 2014 is sure to be the "Year of the Belle" and I've got to say, I'm pretty darn jazzed about it.

What are your quotes for the year? Share them in the comments below or tweet them to me at @ModernMagnolias or @RulesForBelles.

Stay Southern y'all!
