#ModernMagnolias can absolutely rock (faux) fur.

I'm not sure why, but (faux) fur seems to be an all or nothing type of thing. Clearly, I'm all in but almost every time I go anywhere in my fur, someone stops me and says something along the lines of, "I wish I could pull off fur" or "I want to wear fur but it doesn't look good on me" or "I don't want to look like a crazy streetwalker."

This makes me so sad. Everyone should know what it feels like to be hugged by a teddy bear all day. (It's pretty magical. Obviously.)

One of the major struggles with wearing fur is finding the right one for you. Trust me, once you figure out what really works for you, you won't be able to stop buying.

Like Olivia, Rachel and Courtney - I highly suggest keeping your outfit (outside of the fur) simple and monochromatic.

As a Modern Magnolia, you absolutelyyyy can wear fur. You should really just go for it. I love how our friends at Rich Girl Rags styled their new vest. If you've never figured out how to rock fur, take notes y'all.

But seriously y'all... it's time to try out some faux fur. I've pulled some of my favorites (a.k.a. items I'm trying really hard to resist from buying) for y'all to look over.

#MusicMonday becomes #TuesdayTunes

Fun fact: most new music is released on Tuesday. I'm not sure why, probably something to do with distance from the weekend/nothing really happens on Tuesday. That being said, I have officially decided to stop posting playlists on Mondays because it's pretty darn hard knowing better/new/exciting music is coming out the next day. So #TuesdayTunes is officially a thing here on Modern Magnolias.

 1. Medicine by The 1975.

If you've been here for more than five minutes, you are well aware that The 1975 is a pretty big deal to me. Their self-titled debut album has been played about 392 times in the year that it's been out. But new music from these boys is a BIG deal. A radio DJ in the UK, Zane Lowe, decided to rescore the Drive soundtrack (which 1,000% did not need to be rescored) and this track is a result of that experiment.

This is the kind of song you dream about falling in love with someone to. I love it so much.

2. Hurricane by Halsey

So I'm not sure of what you would call this genre of music but I'm so obsessed I can't even. Similar to Tove Lo, Lorde, etc. whom I've posted about before, Halsey is a girl to watch. Ethereal vocals over a hip hop influenced downbeat and sad/glamorous lyrics are where. it's. at. y'all. Also, she's a One Direction fan. Here tumblr is named after one member's tattoo and she first garnered attention from The Haylor Song. You can join the club Halsey. We will take you gladly.

3. Teacher by Nick Jonas

I can't even begin to talk about this new Nick Jonas. We have come a very long way from purity rings y'all. He's going to teach us how to love? As long as it's set to a super funky beat, I'm fine with it. Literally, put on your dancing shoes before you press play on this one.

4. Cut Your Teeth by Kygo, Kyla La Grange

So I really liked the original version of Kyla's "Cut Your Teeth" but it always seemed a little too minimal to me. Like, I really wanted there to be something more to it. Enter Kygo. It's literally so chill and perfect and I love them and her and her hair and this song. Still minimal. Still fantastic.

5. One Touch by Baauer feat. Rae Sremmurd & AlunaGeorge

As I love all things Atlanta, I am a sucker for trap music. I like Baauer. I love AlunaGeorge. I'm so on board with this more relaxed take on a trap song. Still has a great downbeat but it's nice to just kind of chill every once in a while, right? I will say, Rae could stand to chill a bit more... (FYI - not exactly suitable for work)

6. Can't Stop by Theophilus London feat. Kanye West

Keeping with the chill vibe that this playlist seems to have taken, this song has been on repeat for me. I love a rap song with an easy beat and nice groove. If this is where rap is heading, I'm so on board.

Enjoy and let me know what you think!
