#TuesdayTunes - 03.

I know I say this a lot but I really am obsessed with this playlist. (This is going to be an epic year in music y'all.  E P I C.) I jammed hard to this on the drive to #chsfw. And back. And then every single day since. And I don't see it ending soon.

FAIR WARNING: There are TWO Catfish & The Bottlemen songs on here and G-Eazy is featured THREE times. Sue me. #IDoWhatIWant

Some of my highlights for this fantastic playlist:

1. Doin' Time by Sublime

This will probably be my summer theme song. I'm literally so far from "West Coast" but this song is such a tune. Roll the windows down and crank this one up.

2. Still by The Japanese House

I have listened to this song over 100 times, easily. And I still can't decide if I find it sultry or depressing. And I think that's the absolute beauty of it. It's mesmerizingly melancholy and sometimes that's all you can really ask for in your music.

3. 1990s by Nova Rockafeller

Undoubtedly every 90s kid's new theme song. A girl that raps and sings about our dear old decade? Sign me up.

4. Babe I'm Yours by Whilk & Misky

I tried to describe this song to someone the other day and was kind of stumped. It's acoustic but not. It's pop but not. It's upbeat but very chill. It's just a big conglomeration of cool lyrics and a bunch of music genres I like. I'm all about Whilk & Misky these days.

5. Arsonist's Lullaby by Hozier

(I won't lie - this was a late edition. It was featured on E!'s new Hot Mess British Express meets Gossip Girl show, The Royals. And there a lot of things you can say about that show but having bad music is NOT one of them.) Hozier is incredible. Like I genuinely think he was robbed of a couple of Grammy's this year. With this song, like Take Me To Church, you can clearly hear this Irish boy's Catholic upbringing influencing his lyrics and strangely seductive ominous sounds. It also has a very blues-y feel that this Southerner loves to hear.
