Let me start by saying, I don’t want
to discourage you ladies with a significant other from reading this
post. It’s just that you have probably had a sassy little number
picked out for Valentine’s Day for your cute beau for weeks. If
not, keep reading! I’ll give you my favorite looks and trends that
will have you looking FABULOUS on V-Day.
But, if you’re single on Valentine’s
Day, chances are you’re going to end up where other singles are.
Whether it’s a night on the town, the movies with the girls,
whatever.. you’re in need of a new outfit. If you’re going out,
you’re bound to see tons of girls trying WAY too hard, dressed in
literally the shortest, tightest, most risqué dress you’ve ever
seen. Don’t be that girl. Yes, you may be single, but you’re not
desperate. Modern Magnolias know better. You never know when you are
going to run into the love of your life (so my mama says, still
waiting), so you want to make a good impression wherever you go.
Dress like the classy and sassy girls that you are. With no beau to
buy a gift for, spend that money on a new outfit for you to wear on
Valentine’s Day. All that being said, here are my favorite looks
and trends for you to rock on V-Day.
Faux Fur
I’m literally TOO obsessed with faux
fur right now. It’s such an easy way to dress up nearly any outfit.
Throw it a faux fur jacket on with jeans and a t-shirt if you’re
doing something casual with the girls, or pair a fur vest with a
fancy top and heels or boots for a night out on the town. Faux fur
adds something a little extra to every outfit and makes you stand out
without breaking the bank.
Animal Print
Y’all, I am ALL ABOUT some leopard
print these days. I think wearing an animal print helps draw
attention to yourself, but in the best way possible. Now I’m not a
fan of animal print head to toe, like you don’t need you shoes,
dress, and hair accessories to make you look like you’re an actual
animal. But a pair of printed pants or skirt with a bright top, or
even a sassy leopard print dress says that you are feisty and bold,
with a whole lot of sass.
Sparkle!
Whether you go with sequins or a
metallic print, a little sparkle always adds a little pizzazz to
literally any outfit. And even though you may be single this
Valentine’s Day, you still want to feel girly and pretty! And
nothing can make me feel more like a girl than some glitter, y’all.
Doesn’t matter if it’s a little or a lot, but a little sparkle is
a full proof way to make you stand out on V-Day!
When in doubt, wear black.
Here’s your chance to pull out that
little black dress or that chic leather jacket. My mama always says,
“You can never have too much black,” and she is 100% correct in
my opinion. Black is flattering on literally everyone, and you will
without a doubt look FIERCE. Worried you’re going to look too
American Horror Story? Throw on a fun statement necklace or fun heels
with your all black ensemble and BAM you’re ready to go.

inspiration for Valentine’s Day. Single ladies, you may not have a
boy this V-Day, but that’s no reason not to look your best. Don’t
be afraid to combine several of these trends for a killer Valentine’s
