Fashion is all about taking existing ideas and re-imagining them in a fresh way. Spring and pastels seem to always go hand in hand and can remind me of my childhood Easter dresses. But by wearing them together in a monochromatic ensemble, rather than as separates, they seem totally chic and cutting edge. This trend has been all over the runways this spring and works so well with any and all pastel shades! Take a look at how some fabulous ladies have styled this fun look-

(And yes, we ARE obsessed with the Burberry English Rose collection. Obviii.) While it may seem a bit high-fashion and unaccessible, monochrome pastels can work for the every-day gal as well! The trend is bold on its own and doesn't need over-the-top clothing to make a big impact. By layering your favorite solid, structured pastel pieces you'll accomplish the same vibe without the high-fashion craziness. Simply wear a pair of colored skinnies with a top in a similar hue, add a ballet flat, and voila- You'll look like you just stepped off the Burberry runway! Here's how I would style the monochromatic look-
